“But no artist, I now realize, can be satisfied with art alone. There is a natural craving for recognition which cannot be gain-said.”

Ten strangers, who have no relation with each other whatsoever and have never met before, were invited to a mysterious tiny isolated island – Soldier Island. No sooner did all of them reach the island, a storm hit the island and cut off all their contacts with the main land.

What was even more troubling was that theiir host didn’t pay them a visit. Yeah, you heard it right. The host never arrived. Or was someone among them the host himself?

Sooner, all of them were accused of a terrible crime each. Matters get worse, as one of them dies suddenly. Was it a normal death or was it a murder? If so, then who is the murderer? What is the motive? Someone among them is hunting down his/her victims cunningly, one by one. Will anyone escape? Will the murderer be discovered long enough before everyone dies? Read this book to know what happened next.

Being voted as the most favourite Agatha Christie book, this crime thriller is a book that will keep you hooked up to the last page. I am still shocked by the amazing twist with which the story ended. The way the story is narrated will make you suspect almost everyone as the murderer but it will be someone you won’t even have a single doubt on from the very first page. You will feel yourself to be one of the victims, and for numerous instances, you will realize that you didn’t even blink for a long time. I will recommend this book to almost everyone irrespective of whichever genre you’re comfortable with. With almost zero dislikes, this book will be in your ‘2020 best reads’. Thank me later.
