“To become a successful politician, you need to be a good actor.
To become a successful actor, you need to be a good politician.
To be a successful bureaucrat though, you need to be both.”
Vikram, Jaidev and Rakesh, the three IAS trainees were leading their normal lives just like anyone else. But things started escalating when they decided to face off with the powerful and corruption minister of Laxmipur, Rana Pratap Rudra. Vikram had dared to ask some embarrassing questions in front of a packed auditorium. To make matters worse, a video of this goes viral. The real face-off between Vikram and the minister begins since then.
Vikram was given a prestigious job – right under the regime of that very minister. Life became tougher for him. Fighting against injustice by staying within the system wasn’t an easy task. All his efforts were crushed down by the power-hungry corrupt politicians.
The election was just a month due. Campaigning was at its full swing. But amidst the hoardings and fake promises, there arouse a new dilemma. Out of nowhere, a wave surge of heart attacks swept the city. Within no time, hundred were killed and only very few could be saved. It seemed that people of only certain age groups were its victims.
How was it all happening? Was it really just a disease? Or was it planned? If so, then who is the mastermind behind? And what is his motive?
Join Vikram as he risks his life to get the bottom of this mystery. Fast paced from the very first page, this book is a wonderful farrago of mystery, suspense, power, vengeance, greed, crime and the struggles of a patriotic IAS officer. Language is easy and the story line is flabbergasting. I would recommend every sci-fi and suspense lover to give this book a read.copy
